Scheduling, conducting and compiling the results of technical interviews for consultants and

Mindbank employs on-line testing through an automated system that measures a consultant’s level
of current proficiency, not potential ability, i.e., not whether they can learn to do the job
but that they possess the technical skills to do the job now. The skills assessments are
comprehensive and feature a self-adjusting response mechanism, leading the test taker to either
a more difficult or an easier question depending on the correctness or the complexity of the
previous answer. When appropriate, actual code is used to ask precise questions. The system
selects 40 questions from a pool of approximately 400 questions for each test, assuring the
validity of the test is never compromised.
Skill assessments generate a comprehensive report, with the candidate’s performance measured
both on an overall knowledge basis, and specifically in approximately six sub-categories per
test. What’s the result? You get an objective measure of a candidate’s requisite Knowledge of
the subject, technical Understanding of the underlying technical concepts, and depth of
