JOB DESCRIPTION:
Work with the Division management team to identify, plan, pursue, and oversee new and evolving application areas in planning technology. The candidate must be interested in pursuing a challenging career in applied research in planning systems and stochastic control. This work will include developing and implementing both centralized and distributed formulations and solutions for networked systems operating in space, in the sea, on land, and in the air. The candidate will be responsible for developing growth plans for new business areas and providing guidance and active support for pursuing new customers in these areas, developing new technical solutions, and mentoring staff in the new technology and market processes.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Experience in developing and implementing algorithms and solutions to planning and plan-execution problems for a variety of autonomous vehicle and complex systems applications. An advanced skill set in computer methods and tools (e.g. UNIX, Java, C, C++, MATLAB, UML) is required, as is probability and statistics. PhD or equivalent in Engineering or Computer Science/AI with an interest in transitioning academic research into practice. Five to ten years of experience.
