JOB DESCRIPTION:

You can push advanced technology development and shape the future of advanced facility characterization methods with your engineering talents and innovation. Client offers the opportunity and challenge to expand the boundaries of advanced sensing, materials, and characterization methods. You will provide technical leadership and support on a highly visible research project, by applying your project management, information systems/technology, systems engineering skills, and knowledge of the Intelligence Community, to senior government R&D project managers, adjunct study teams, and associated staff/team members in a multiple-level security environment. Your skills will be applied to conducting programmatic support activities including technical assessments, system design trades, coordination of activities, and assisting management decisions made by government staff. Specific duties and activities include but are not limited to: technology development and evaluation of sensors and materials; assessment of operational and technical feasibility; technical review and progress assessment; coordination of programmatic activities – internally and externally; assessment of future concepts and technology applications; and assistance to senior management reviews. Other duties will include direct collaboration with other SETA contractors, consultants, and customer counterparts to ensure programmatic milestones are met. The individual will also participate-in and arrange cross-organizational interactions, such as multi-disciplinary working groups and study teams. The candidate must apply excellent written and verbal communications skills to all assignments. This position also requires an individual who is a self-starter and can work with minimal direction to achieve the program manager’s goals. The individual will apply an understanding of advanced research activities from other government agencies and coordinate across multi-agency technology development programs.
