JOB DESCRIPTION:
Apply your project support and engineering skill to integrate program office activities for state-of-the-art optical systems/radiofrequency technology research and development. Duties and functions include but are not limited to: 1) Assisting the program manager with program management tasks including technical, programmatic, cost and schedule activities; 2) preparing programmatic documentation to support periodic reviews with the customer managers and other senior oversight organizations; 3) coordinating technical reviews for the program team via telecons and site visits; 4) capturing, maintaining, tracking and statusing action items at staff meetings; 5) supporting local security officer in tracking and coordination of special access requests; 6) managing the flow of security information to include maintaining the currency of security guidance; 7) providing financial/budget assistance to the program manager by performing analysis and creating related documentation; and 8) providing other systems engineering and technical assistance as required. Apply excellent written and verbal communications skills to all assignments. This position require individual who is a self-starter who can work with minimum direction to achieve program manager’s goals. Apply skills of project management support with technical insight. Highly desirable is the knowledge of current and future electro-optical/radiofrequency systems capabilities and key emerging technology advancements. Apply an understanding of advanced research at other government agencies and coordinate across multi-agency technology development programs. Display effective interpersonal skill along with proven briefing and written communications expertise. Security Prerequisite: TS/SCI.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Bachelors (14 years experience) or Masters (12 years experience) in engineering, physics, or related technical degree and/or appropriate work experience. Possess a minimum of 5 years project management related experience. Knowledge of optical/radiofrequency advanced research and development activities and active/passive systems. Systems engineering experience with application to complex systems. Knowledge of state of the art for optical technologies a plus.
