JOB DESCRIPTION:
Mindbank Consulting Group is seeking a Project Scheduler for a favored Govt. client located at the Pentagon. This long-term contract position requires someone who has functional and mechanical knowledge of MS Project. The job will require high-level detail planning and requires that the consultant be able to work independently. This position is on a very senior level project with senior level visibility. Some local travel will be required between the Pentagon, DIA, Bethesda.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
The ideal candidate will be proficient in doing and knowing the following things within MS Project: Resource leveling and able to apply it; Set relationships among tasks; Assign resources (single or multiple) to tasks and identify people that are overscheduled; Relate multiple schedules (link one to another); How to set up high level planning with drawings and graphics capabilities (i.e. able to set tasks with presentations); Assign or use a work break down structure; Know the difference between the plan and tracking actual (i.e. % complete); Familiar with working in difference of baseline, plan, and actual dates. Responsibilities will also be to: Prepare presentations - PowerPoint experience preferred, will present project status; Get involved in project/program and learn about it; Go to documents and pull out info and put together plans; Be a thinker, able to architect and put together a schedule; Exp. writing project plans is good because a lot of scheduling is involved in writing plans. Candidate will also have to have been subject to a government security investigation and have met eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
