JOB DESCRIPTION:
One of our international telecommunication clients is looking for an Integration Engineer. Integration Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing and executing test cases/test plans around a diverse and complex set of applications and systems. Primary focus of the candidate will be to perform testing and technical activities related to Unix based applications and systems. Develop test cases and test plans based on complex requirements, specifications and design documentation. Install and maintain applications in a pre-production environment to be used as the test bed for various testing efforts. Demonstrate strong prior work experience with application testing and understanding of testing methodologies and types. Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in the pre-production Unix computing environment. Validate the deployment procedures for all applications targeted for installation in production; provide the necessary support in planning and actual deployment of application into the production environment. Work closely with system developers and users in creating viable schedules for implementation, completion of test procedures, and transferring application for final user acceptance testing. Produce documentation on the system configurations, test procedures, test environments, test results and test logs. Provide timely written and oral feedback to users, developers, and management on test executions and problems encountered. Purpose recommendations for resolution of problems. Work with other team members in designing automated test procedure for purposes of regression and end-end testing. Work with Production System engineers in understanding of production architecture and implement the necessary changes in the pre-production environment to simulate the production. Keep Integration Engineering management informed of developments within the assigned areas.
