JOB DESCRIPTION:
Possess Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business * Four (4) years of progressively more responsible experience in providing support for networked microcomputer and database security systems * If no degree, six (6) years of specific experience in performing the duties as listed above under the heading "General Functions" * Ability to respond quickly and effectively to uncertainty and constant changes in technology.
Possess documented Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) certification; Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) (Workstation), A+ Certification, or equivalent * Must have relevant applicable experience as related to the General Functions listed in this position description * Demonstrated experience with multiple environments at the desktop and server level * Must possess strong analytical skills and effective interpersonal and communication skills to interact with a variety of users having different levels of computer expertise * Ability to design workable solutions to problems in a timely manner * Skill in identifying and monitoring potential operational malfunctions and programming errors * Skill in installing and maintaining computer hardware and software * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other technical staff, customers, and users *
