JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide highly specialized technical guidance to complex architecture challenge including the evaluation of technologies; software including COTS, customer and reusable products and components; internal systems, data exchange tools, and application integration methodologies. Provide expert advice on industry and solution trends to customers in analyzing and planning their current and future IT needs. Provide expertise in applying the enterprise architecture for business or technical activities to a specific system or function. Simultaneously plan, manage, and provide technical oversight for architecture activities. Gather customer's business requirements, translating those requirements into cost-effective solution strategies, frameworks and architectures. Ensure completion of tasks within specific timeframe and budget constraints. Analyze and study information systems requirements. Develop/design solution architectures. Recommend solutions based on analysis of alternative solution architectures. Coordinate work with program management to ensure customer satisfaction.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline and 8-10 years of IT experience. Minimum 5 years design/implementation of business applications and complex information systems. Must have a strong working knowledge of IT enterprise architecture, preferably EA applied in a Federal government environment. Must possess extensive working knowledge of enterprise architecture best practices including logical and physical data architectures; network communications and operating systems; database, web and applications servers; middleware and telecommunications. Must be familiar with the Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA). Must have outstanding customer relations skills and be able to work in a team environment. Must have excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills. US Citizenship is required. Must meet minimum requirements for access to classified info.
