JOB DESCRIPTION:
The candidate must be interested in pursuing a challenging career in applied research in intelligent autonomy, with an emphasis on AI planning, knowledge management, and automated reasoning for a variety of autonomous vehicle systems as well as complex systems. This work will include developing and implementing formulations and solutions for autonomous systems operating in space, in the sea, on land, and in the air. The candidate will perform analysis, design, simulation, experimentation, and prototyping in a multi-disciplinary environment. The work will include object-oriented design, development and implementation of autonomous planning frameworks and algorithms for autonomous vehicle systems. Application domains of interest include complex systems, agent-based computing, dynamic control systems and artificial intelligence. Candidate will work directly with customers to develop and demonstrate advanced concepts.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Experience in developing and implementing algorithms and solutions to planning and plan-execution for a variety of autonomous vehicle and complex systems applications. An advanced skill set in computer methods and tools (e.g. UNIX, Java, C, C++, MATLAB, UML) is required, as is probability and statistics. PhD, Masters or equivalent in Engineering or Computer Science/AI with an interest in transitioning academic research into practice. Zero to ten years of experience.
